Who Needs Our Services?

If you are a Canadian or a foreign national currently living abroad and you need a Canadian Criminal Record Check from Canada then you must submit your fingerprints to RCMP. Steps to Obtain a Certified Criminal Record Check from Abroad

Step 2: We will send you necessary forms and guidelines for obtaining your fingerprints on RCMP Fingerprint Form C-216C
Step 3:  Fill out the forms and get your fingerprints taken on the RCMP Fingerprint Form C-216C by the local police where you are currently residing
Step 4: Send the completed forms via mail/courier to our office at:

Step 5: We will digitize your fingerprints and submit electronically to RCMP for processing
Step 6: RCMP will mail the results back to you or a designated third party address via Canada Post regular mail

Fingerprinting for Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).

The vulnerable sector screening must be conducted by the local Canadian police service where the applicant resides (lives).

In areas where taking fingerprints electronically is not available we can digitize your ink fingerprints and submit electronically to RCMP for processing. Electronic fingerprints can greatly reduce the processing times to as little as 72 hours compared to paper (ink) fingerprints that may take up to 120 days.

How do I get my fingerprints taken?

Getting fingerprints electronically is quite simple and easy. Just visit our location at  Strathcona Bussiness Park #6 , 3908 97 Street NW Edmonton Alberta T6E 6N2 . Each applicant must provide two (2) pieces of valid, government-issued identification. One (1) piece of identification must include a photo, name, date of birth and signature.

The fingerprinting process itself takes about 10-15 minutes. We use cutting-edge digital Live Scan Technology to capture your fingerprints digitally and transmit to RCMP using a secure system. Digital fingerprinting reduces the processing time to as little as 72 hours provided the applicant’s name is not associated with a criminal record. You will receive the results back to your home address or to a designated third party with your consent.

Frequently Asked Questions – Fingerprinting

The processing time for fingerprints based criminal record checks varies. If the applicant does not have a criminal record and there is no match to an RCMP fingerprint record then processing is complete in 72 hours. RCMP will mail the results back to the applicant or the designated third party within 72 hours.

 

In cases where the applicant does have a criminal record or there is a match to an RCMP fingerprint record then the processing time could be up to 120 days or longer.

Keeping in view the above factors please allow sufficient time for receiving the results by regular mail before making any status update inquiries.

The RCMP will directly mail the hard copy of the certified criminal record check to either the individual (applicant) or a designated third party via Canada Post.
